Rockets shot 61% for the game, including 52% from 3 (13 made threes.)
Canisius shot 43% for the game, and 53% from 3.

Lost the board battle 32-26

UT with 24 assists to 15 turnovers.

For comparison, Buffalo beat Canisius at home 71-55. So, about the same margin of victory, albeit they were leading by double digits most of the game.

Great shooting. Defense picked up in the second half. As usual, we outscored our opponents in the fourth quarter. Interesting to see only one starter in the game (Black) in the fourth even before things got out of hand. We have a lot of players who contribute. We can't get too excited about today, though, since Canisius is very bad, and they played us even for the better part of three quarters.

Tyra Carlsten-Handberg was not on the bench today and is no longer listed on the Rockets' roster found on the website.

Her play in Las Vegas was not good. Too many young talents that are scrapping and contributing for PT.

Canisius is one of the weakest teams in Division 1 with an RPI of 343 out of 351 teams. They are 1-8 and have been outscored by an average of 18 points for the last six games. Closest game was -16 points against Stetson. And its not like they are playing a tough schedule, strength of schedule is 307. Small school with enrollment of 4500 students. It would have been big news, and a bad omen for the Rockets if they didn't win by double digits. Anyway the unconscious shooting day was nice to see.
