The Cotton Bowl isn’t exactly something Penn St should be disappointed about. It’s one of the 6 biggest bowl games. Pretty much everyone out there knew Florida was going to the OB due to geography. The Cotton was a logical landing spot for the 3rd place Big Ten team.

I could see Penn State being only modestly motivated in this game. I'm a Memphis fan and I get it. The PSU players would prefer to be playing a "name" foe and the Tigers are not that.

Pre-snap penalties stopped at least 3 Memphis drives before they could get started.

That would have been about my guess for the halftime score. Memphis has an excellent offense and no so excellent defense.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Memphis come back and win, but right now it looks like PSU will prevail.
