RE: The race not to convey
It looks like circumstances and talent are coming together to push the Grizzlies into a playoff push.

I would say we are at least a year ahead of schedule for this team.

At least. I saw some Phoenix comments post game admiring us, wondering how they've been spinning their wheels for 10 years yet we in a very short time seem to be reloaded and focused on the future. To me though it's critical to stay on the path. Too not deviate from it by trying to get into the playoffs. If we make them fine, gravy, but that's not the intent this year. This team is playing fun and mostly pressure free basketball. It's like that for the fans too.

Agreed completely. This season is not about the playoffs, it is about the future and thankfully our future looks bright.

Exactly this and it's exactly why if someone around the trade deadline calls and says we'll give such and such and lets say a first for Crowder, Grizz better say not just yes but hell yes.

This is gonna happen, for a few players, Iggy, Val, Crowder and possibly Brooks

I would like to keep Valanciunas if possible.

The 3 that are must keeps are Ja, JJ, and Clarke.

I doubt anyone gives a #1 for Crowder ... at this point, I say keep Crowder and Hill (they seem to be the right veteran mix for this team); but hold out for a #1 for Iggy (even if its 3 years down the road) .... Don't just let him walk (which is what the contenders are waiting for us to do) .... at this point I don't see Bruno or Marko being in any future mix, so don't waste minutes on them ....

Val would be great to keep if we were already a couple of years along. Right now we still need to be focused on maximizing assets for the future. So if we can flip Val for a pick we do it.

Baby Grizz win again.

At this rate we are going to make the playoffs

Going to be interesting to see what the front office does.

Val had a off game.

Dillon Brooks and Jae Crowder are really playing well.

Ja is simply amazing and JJJ keeps getting better

We are learning how to finish games now.

I get the feeling this team really likes one another

His expiring year probably lands us something better.

Jonas and Crowder have proven to be very effective nba players. That’s hard to find even with lottery picks. It would be crazy for the Grizz to trade them. The devil we know is better than the devil we don’t know.

JV isn't going anywhere. Crowder will be an unrestricted free agent after the season so if you can get something for him do it. No one would give up a first round and certainly not a lottery pick for him though.

RE: The race not to convey
both Crowder and Iggy can and would help teams in playoff drive mode

BTW, loved GnG, but I've never been as excited about our local major sports franchise as now....future superstar, 2 perhaps three future All Stars, huge cap money, great FO with brains and moxie

Grizz drop 134 on the Spurs tonight and get the W. Pranica said on the telecast since early December, the Grizz are the NBA’s leading scoring team and leading 3 point team. That’s just hard to comprehend.

We are averaging over 110 points per game since then and this team plays defense

Wondering with our ascent if Boston would be willing to give us our pick back now for Iggy

RE: The race not to convey
Crowder seems to be one of our glue guys, especially verbally. We don't have many, if any, vets that are willing to yell at Brooks or other players, and it be received as constructive/motivational. The other vets we have are great leaders, and great locker room guys, but in other ways than that. For that reason, if we deal him, Crowder's loss will be felt very negatively, I think. So hopefully the deal is too good to pass up if one happens, and it involves an improvement in player.

And, hopefully, we try to sign him in the off-season at a reasonable price.
