Brandon Clarke is the real deal
Figured he deserves his own thread as well.
Honestly, this past draft was the BEST in grizzlies history - we lucked out with the #2 pick, but we picked the RIGHT guy this time. Sorry thabeet.
But we also did amazing with BC in the draft as well ... if they do/did a redraft, this guy would definitely be a lottery pick. Dude is showing out.
We're in great hands with this rookie class and our sophomore in JJJ.

RE: Brandon Clarke is the real deal
From ESPN today,,,,,
We polled the ESPN Forecast panel of experts for their votes about a third of the way through the 2019-20 NBA season. The results include the most likely conference finals and NBA Finals matchups, the young players with the most superstar potential, the best franchises for the next three seasons and more.
Who is the NBA rookie or sophomore with the most long-term potential?
Note: Voters ranked their top three picks.
Last year's Rookie of the Year runs away with this one. In his second season, Doncic has already emerged as an MVP candidate for the surprising Mavericks (though he's currently recovering from an ankle injury that could have him out for a couple of weeks).
Luka Doncic | DAL (78.3% first-place votes): 192 points
Zion Williamson | NOP (17.4%): 83 points
Ja Morant | MEM (4.3%): 64 points
Trae Young | ATL: 41 points
RJ Barrett | NYK: 10 points
Others receiving votes: Deandre Ayton, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Kendrick Nunn, Jaren Jackson Jr., Tyler Herro, Coby White, Jaxson Hayes, Cam Reddish, Mo Bamba

Morant is the rookie leader in points per game and assists per game. Clarke is the rookie leader in rebounds per game, 8th in points per game and 5th in blocks. That's with Clarke only playing 21.6 minutes per game.

I am not bashing on Zion, but he hasn't played this season lol ... nonetheless, I do think he is gonna be great.

Just a perfect fit. Ja draws a defender or two with him. Guard the 3pt shooter and here comes the alley oop to Clarke.

It happened late last night exactly like that. I think Whiteside and Melo stepped up on Ja and left Lilliard to try and defend a BC dunk (lol)

A young Melo was a terrible defender. He hasn't gotten any better.

He comes out of a pick and roll like he's been doing it his whole life even with no experience in college since they rarely fool with what is the bread and butter of halfcourt pro offenses.

Yeah, he also seems invisible to the defense at times because he's just standing under the basket unguarded. He also has a decent jumper but he doesn't shoot the jumper much. Why should he?
