Carl Fowler points out the laughable fact that Bill made 1st team all-American but was only 2nd team all-CAA. It is a little like the Nathan Knight treatment where he is in the running for best big in all of college Basketball, but unable to make the list of standout midmajor players.

He was first team All American as a special teamer on Hero, and 2nd team all CAA as a DLineman, so different positions.

Murray is an absolute beast who plays hurt and never lets his motor turn off. People remember Lissamore, but he reminds me more of John Cannon (early 80s) who played for Tampa Bay in the NFL for nine seasons. He was so strong and just moved people out of the way.

True. But Fowler’s point is they found a way to make him a first teamer. Ever heard of a lineman on first team for special teams. It was in recognition of his overall body of work I think and not just as a kick blocker. The respect from Hero was deserved and doesn’t go unnoticed. He deserved first team all conference.
