I see your Big Bird and Darth Vader and raise you a Baby Yoda and The Count from Sesame Street.

Unlike Bernie and Corbyn, Trump and Boris aren't carbon copies imo; the weird hair is definitely something they have in common however.

Both parties should take away a couple lessons from last night. For the Democrats, it's that hitching your wagon to far left crazies isn't going to play well in a national election and that you need to purge the worst of the worst if you don't want middle America to vote for the status quo as a default choice. For the GOP, it's that you shouldn't get wrapped up in building up your leader so much as making the election about a key issue of contrast and the lunacy of the opposition. If Republicans just attack Democrats during the campaign if their nominee isn't Biden, they'll clean up because there's no way Warren or Bernie are going to stand up to the scrutiny.

I got to listen to the Green candidate who won in Brighton start off by launching into a rant on social justice, the need for a new government mandated green economy, and how they need way WAY more money for education and health care. She could have passed for AOC. She even yelled into the mic and was emotional to the point of being possessed.

They better start forming a militia...oops, nevermind.

Scotland will eventually get another bite at the independence apple. But my hunch is that will have to wait until the Brexit drama is finished. Check back in 5 years.
