Birmingham January 2 then New Orleans January 4?

Birmingham Bowl website says SEC vs AAC. How do they end up with BC from ACC?

My kid has been in Tuscaloosa for 4 years... I learned the hard way not to even stop for gas in Birmingham. It’s that friggin awful.

Stayed in a hotel downtown 2 years back to see m.o.e. play a show...front desk gave us great advice...don’t walk anywhere downtown if you can avoid it.

And yeah, that stadium should be condemned. It’s perfect for B-Ham.

For those who go...
in the past UC has stayed in Hoover at the hotel attached to the Galleria. Can't remember the name of the hotel but it's a nice hotel with a Shula's steakhouse on the lower level which is very good.

the stadium is seriously a dump in a bad part of town.
bringing tissues for TP is recommended.
and don't eat the hot dogs. They are gross.

I mean, what did we expect? We're still on the outside looking in for the better bowl tie-ins. I don't want to play Eastern Michigan, the Rajun Cajuns, FIU, Arky State, Charlotte, Kent St, et al. I'll take Boston College over any of those teams. Travel to Birmingham? Nah. I'll just enjoy the game from the comfort of my recliner. It's also scheduled on January 2nd. That's still during the Christmas/New Year's Holidays and is a better prime spot than Dec 20th thru 23rd.

BC and Pitt are two of the least wanted bowl teams from the ACC. Louisville has great fans.

Basically BC is what was leftover and was power 5 name vs a C-USA team.

Would have been nice to have an Athletic Director lobbying for UC. It always seems like we get caught in the middle with crappy or no representation when everyone else is working the system.

Speaking of...I haven’t heard a peep about replacement possibilities.

Curious, what record does everyone think we have if we plaid in the ACC coastal division? I dont mind playing BC. If we are as good as we think, we should stomp them. If we struggle like we did vs VT last year, then maybe our ceiling in a P5 isnt as big as we think.

Not exactly apples to apples since we don't get P5 money and status in recruiting. We should beat BC but i don't know if it reflects anything if we struggle against them.

Perhaps, but if we're being honest, Coach Fickell got the bowl game he deserved.

Once again, the 'Murican shows how much it works for UC...

We finish #2 in the Conference and we get stuck in Birmingham. Temple and Navy both jump us.
