Virginia needs to keep trying to score points even if the game is lost

Get to 31 points

If no other ACC team is ranked, the OB gets their pick. Would they pick Virginia? I really don’t see an obvious choice.

Isn’t ND contractually awarded a certain number of OB appearances? Where are they on this stipulation? This may be a good year for an ACC v ND OB.

We can't be sure they won't be ranked yet.

1. No, they only have a maximum
2. Again, they can only replace the SEC or B1G team - never the ACC team

1 I was thinking there was a minimum of 2.

2 Correct. Since ND is beatable this year, thats why I say it would be a good year for an ACC v ND OB.

No doubt, Clemson is the program every ACC team should be striving to become.

When the current contract with the Orange Bowl began, there was an established minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 appearances by B1G and SEC over 12 years when not hosting a playoff game. Additionally, there is a maximum of 2 appearances by Notre Dame over 12 years, with no minimum.

So far... SEC 1 (2014), B1G 2 (2016,2017).

Who does Clemson want in the 1 rd, Ohio State or LSU? Either one will be a tough matchup.

Taking an ass-whip'n from Clemson is nothing to be ashamed of - in fact I thought UVa played well.

This year's Clemson team is likely the best to ever suit up in the SoCon/ACC.

FSU had some dominating teams to be sure, but I don't remember them being like this. The two and three deep at CU is astounding.

FSU was "like that" for 14 years straight. There just wasn't a playoff or ACC championship 03-yawn

Serious question predicated on some ifs:

IF Clemson beats Ohio State
AND IF Clemson is clearly ahead of LSU/OU in the title game

Does Dabo keep his foot down hard on the gas to make a statement to the committee going forward? Because Vegas thinks Clemson is #1 and frankly I think as a Clemson fan it f'n sucks you gotta go out to Phoenix now instead of drive down I-85.

The CFP jumps through more hoops than a poodle in the circus trying to make sure they put an SEC team in Atlanta whenever the Peach Bowl hosts a semi...
