See Kentucky//Evansville
See Duke/SFA

And those were home games

This is our first true hostile environment road game of the year and we are obviously loaded with freshman. It's gonna be tough.

I'm with you 100%. I'm not predicting a loss, but I absolutely think it can happen.

Anyone know the line?

Anything can happen in sports. Especially college sports. I get that. I understand that. And this is their super bowl game, I get that too.
But if you go into a game thinking it’s going to be tough for us to win and they might beat us, you are basically defeating yourself. It’s not a good approach, at all. You don’t worry about them, you keep the focus on us and what we want to do. Which should be to go there and punch em in the mouth. Not tell yourself that we can lose.

I haven't seen one yet. They usually open at about the same as Kenpom. Kenpom has up winning by 7.

The only line I could find said Tigers -7. ESPN gives us a 63.5% chance of winning.

They beat Troy by ONE point. They beat Mt. St. Mary’s by 7 points. They beat Lamar by 9. So, no, I’m not worried about UAB. And I’m not going to talk myself into thinking UAB will be a threat to us.

I’m thinking a lot of you are going to do this the whole year. Every away game. Talk yourself into thinking we will struggle on the road and we will lose some because we are young.

I’m only concerned about one game. The Tennessee game. Only, and I stress only, because we get to play the game without the #1 draft pick in the June NBA draft. And probably we won’t have Lester back yet either. Other than that, I’m not afraid or worried or concerned about anyone we’re going to play. Home or away. I’m not saying we will win out, but i think we will be able to count our losses on one hand after the regular season.

Tip: We’ve got a good team. Believe in the Tigers.

UAB averages 62PPG and doesn’t shoot the 3 well. We will most certainly make life difficult for them around the hoop. We played like crap on the road last year so that’s really the only thing that concerns me.

Seems very unlikely that they’ll hold us below 62.

In no way am I taking UAB for granted or overlooking them. My thoughts are we go there with the mentality to beat the crap out of them.

I’m sure the team will go in with that mentality. We as fans are just discussing what could happen. We won’t have any outcome on the game. That’s on the players and coaches.

I bought 4 lower level tickets today for the UAB game ($60 each on Stub Hub plus $16 in fees per ticket $76) and there are not many tickets available. They are excited about playing The Tigers!

I respect UAB. However, unless something weird happens (e.g., UAB suddenly gets hot from three) the Tigers should win.

The Tigers are presently favored by 7.5 points. https://www.vegasinsider.com/college-bas...las-vegas/

Comparing Memphis stats to those of UAB, we have every advantage.

Of course we have the most talent and should win handily.

No one is disputing that.

We dismissed our best player (Zack Bryant) earlier this season and we already weren't a good shooting team before that. We have the worst coach we have ever had and he likely won't be here past this year either. You guys should win. We just haven't been good under this coach.

With that said, our team is playing pretty hard and is fairly good defensively. They'll try to make the game a slogfest and hope it is close late.
