Winning on the road against a top 30 team would calm a lot of basketball nerves and would do wonders for UC's run for March seeding.

Almost certainly.

I think we're too confident in that and may be set up for disappointment. Memphis beat us and only jumped a Minnesota team who fell 10 spots (granted a win on the road is more convincing than winning at home). The committee really hasn't done much shuffling week to week this year. If we win and Boise wins, I hope the committee feels the same enthusiasm we do.

P5 invites have little to do with football wins - it's probably more of a hindrance. Texas and Oklahoma don't want another school in the BIG 12 that can actually beat them. Look what happened when the Big East split apart - UC was as good as anyone in football, arguably better, and were left without an invite.

Basketball win for me.

The big loser today is.......ME.

I will be stuck in company meetings out here in LA for the entire day and won't see either game. Had to turn down free Crosstown tickets. FML (but just today)

Go Bearcats!

I agree I’m a bit over confident we would jump as well. But remember, the only teams ahead of Memphis are so called P5 and Boise is G5. Also, I think nationally it is the sentiment this conference is a tweener between P5 and G5.

For me, give me a Conference Champ and Cotton Bowl Berth all day. Only negative is the possible match up (SEC team, Would love Baylor) and problems it could present with our O-Line struggles all season.

Let those wannabe uppity idiots have their biggest game of the year. No one remembers the game anyways after two years unless it gets totally one sided (Like UC-Miami or Ohio State-Michigan). I'll remember a conference champ and Cotton Bowl berth the rest of my life.

win the Football championship. The crosstown shootout has lost it's appeal this season due to both teams struggling to find some sort of consistency.

Call Mick, maybe you can watch the Shootout with him. Just tell him to go easy on the deflection count.

A this point I'd take a win by the Volleyball team.
