Exclamation Joe Brady?
If CMN leaves, we might do well to look at former Saints and current LSU passing game coordinator Joe Brady. He's helped take LSU to the full spread and has done a lot with the run-pass option. Young, hungry offensive coordinator, and he's done wonders for Joe Burrow.

No way. Either that we want him or that he’d come here. 30 years old and LSU is about to make him one of the highest paid assistants in the country. I bet it’ll be close to 2mil.
This is his 1st year as a semi-coordinator.

Not enough experience, plus we would have to pay 3 million for a guy who has only one year under his belt.

Might need to see how he does next year after Burrow leaves.

How about we actually table these discussions until Norvell in fact does leave

Good luck on that.

Probably don't want him as he's just too inexperienced.
But he'd come here. Don't kid yourself. A HC in a ready-made roster at one of the top 50ish programs in the country. Yeah.
Norvell was the highest paid assistant in the country. Auburn offered him better money to become their OC than we did as HC. He came here.
Successful coaches are neither dumb, nor do they lack confidence that they can succeed.

If we want to lower our salary by a million plus just because it's not Norvell we can expect the program to never eclipse where Norvell got it. I'm not saying Brady is the answer, but if you want to continue to pay $1-$1.5 million for a first year head coach, eventually you are going to strike out on the hire.

LSU will pay Brady whatever to keep him. I'd prefer Harrell> Brady, but I'm good with silverfield since that's who it will be

I'm saying for Brady individually we shouldn't pay that much for, IMO. For other candidates with more experience I'm fine with that.
