True. But is that spin any different than Mikey’s “P6” spin campaign? Either you are in the club or you are not...and none of us are in the club.

Yes, it's different. The P6 campaign is marketing. Perhaps you don't understand that... With our new TV deal (resulting from on the field results, ratings, and yes the marketing effort...), finally getting paid what this conference is worth, we are a hullava lot closer to being a real tweener than anyone in the G4+Uconn. Getting close to old Big East $$.

You guys however are going downhill fast... Not trolling, your football record is up in this thread. Best of luck for the future though...

UConn going Big East and Indy in football is in many ways marketing, too. It will help us play to our strengths and get back in the national conversation in basketball..perhaps you don’t understand that.

Lifting out of the G5 won’t really matter too much. AAC teams will have the same shot at a national championship in football that we will... none.

Yeah, this basketball conference with a half-dozen top level basketball programs and several others who have heavily invested in the sport were really holding you back from being in the national conversation. 01-wingedeagle Need to look at yourselves and hiring Kevin Ollie.

No doubt the Big East will help your ticket sales some with the regional schools, but the AAC is in no way responsible for UConn sucking. Ultimately this is all so a bunch of Grandmas don't have to learn how to use ESPN3 to watch UConn WBB.

Love you, but I'm gonna disagree here. Let's say some random AAC team and UCONN (miraculously) both go undefeated. Sure, the AAC team would earn themselves a NY6 bowl, but UCONN would have defeated 5 P5 teams compared to just 2 for the undefeated AAC team. We all know how much the CFP Committee values P5 wins over the strength of a G5 conference. UCONN would be better positioned to make the CFP in that scenario.

UConn hasn’t won 5 games in 3 years but now you’ll win 5 p5 games in one season? Good luck, Huskies.

Notice I included "miraculously" (just like the AAC's chance at a CFP bid).

Bugsy's last post was bittersweet and appropriate. The thread should have ended there. But Husky can never help but p on the cheerios.

We won't have UConn " to push around anymore." UConn fans should accept that statement in its historical context.

Looks like USF under Strong isn't too far behind.

Quit being silly you know exactly what Bull is referring to.

I get your point. It is only a 45 minute bus ride to Omaha from your campus.

At the stroke of midnight tonight, we only have 7 more months in this conference.

I am staying. AAC is good stuff (especially football). I will still follow these teams. After all, I need to watch winning football somewhere since it won’t be happening at The Rent anytime soon.

RE: Goodbye UConn Fooball
I wish UConn nothing but the best. Just like I would wish any AAC program well that is departing (hypothetically). None of us is a member of this league because we sincerely want to be. And, to be frank and on this theme, UConn does not "want" to be in the BE. Rather it would prefer to be in the Atlantic Coast. However, the BE is a better fit for UConn than the American and UConn is taking advantage of this opportunity. I fully understand that.

Now, I shall resume eating some organic nuts and drinking a fine micro-brewed craft beer.

Been a good year for AAC. 3 double digit win teams, and 2 more with 9 wins. Thank you UCONN for helping to make that possible.

This is a win/win. I don't think it's possible for UConn football to be successful. They need everything in a hoops focused conference. They were an absolute anchor on the AAC in football. We will upgrade in football losing UConn and hopefully get someone in as a basketball school to make up that loss.

Good move on both parties. I see them trying out Independence for a few years before going FCS.
