Coach Napier is different. He’ll have all the opportunities he wants if they stay the course.
Being a Furman guy I could never root for him, but the guy can coach.
Agree, I know a really good coach when I see one, and Napier can flat out coach, still shocked he still is at ULL, couple of yrs someone is going to hate not grabbing him when they could
I enjoyed this series from their program. Gives a solid insight into what Napier is like as a coach and why guys will continue to play for him. Not sure how he compares to Hudspeth but it seemed like his guys quit on him down the stretch.
I think recruiting & some locker room issues doomed him. What made it worse is he alienated some long time fans/donors and at this level you need all those folks you can get.

RE: Sunbelt Championship Game
Napier will get his opportunity. He hasn't had the big "attention grabbing" win...YET. That said, he has obviously revived the UL program and built them into a legit contender. Drink did go conservative (again) in the championship game, but give UL credit for the adjustments they made. We really don't know how it would have played out. That's all part of the game. Bottom line is that the championship game is much more like what people expected earlier in the season, so I'm not sure why anyone would act surprised that it was a higher scoring, close game.

First few years Hud won very well at Louisina but didn't go anywhere. Maybe it has something to do with Cajuns. No one offers.
Actually Tulane tried to hire him from us after year 1 or 2.

Well I'm not sure you could pay me enough for those ass chewings anyway. He's already learned on that staff as well, so it would likely just slow down him getting a bigger HC gig somewhere.

If Napier can repeat he will be the highest paid G5 call up in history.

First time I’ve seen an inspirational video for the team that lost the game, oh well, details, details.

I’ll go for a repeat. Another App win over UL in the Championship game at KBS.
