True. Instead of being a Top 2 conference every year, it's now only a Top 3-4 conference every year.

You mean like last year? Not. Did any BE school not named Villanova do anything in the tournament?

Don't go all liarface. The Big East has been at least 4th in RPI/NET every year since the split.

Exactly

If UConn had trouble recruiting while in a competitive conference what players in their right mind will play for them now.

Include coaches. Who would be there to recruit.

I know many on this board thought UCONN will be playing a bunch of FCS opponents for 2020 plus UMASS multiple times, but give the credit to the staff for putting this together despite everything at the last minute. Somehow and someway they were able to put together a decent schedule. Is it perfect? no, but from 2022 on it should be pretty solid. Now we just need to figure a way to get rid of the current coach and hire a new one.

2020

Sep. 3: UMass

Sep. 12: at Illinois

Sep. 19: at Virginia

Sep. 26 Indiana

Oct. 3: Old Dominion

Oct. 10: Maine

Oct. 24: at Ole Miss

Oct. 31: Liberty

Nov. 7: at North Carolina

Nov. 14: at San Jose State

Nov. 21: Middle Tennessee

Nov. 28: Army

Congratulations. Some of those home games will draw as many as 5000 fans. Counting, of course, the band, the cheerleaders, the athletic trainers, the coaches, the ticket takers, the concession stand vendors, the security, the scoreboard operator, the PA announcer and, of course, the mighty UGonn football squad.

You forgot to include the opposing team in that number

They really should have gotten VT on that schedule—only playing 3 of the 4 VA schools is unacceptable. Lol

Many have said BE might be the best conference this year. With Uconn added it back, it will be even better and stronger. Uconn already got a monster recruiting class coming in for basketball.

It cracks me up some Cincy fans think Uconn needs to schedule Cincy in anything. If it happens, it happens. It is just another game on the schedule. If it doesn't, Uconn will just move on to another opponent. There will be plenty of possible opportunities now that we are an indy.

LOL.. Have you not paying any attention to the schedule? Uconn got games lined up 10 years out. You really think they will go to FCS? Also, it is delusional to think UConn football will be bad forever. We were a solid program once, and we will be there again once we get the right coach. Uconn football won 2 regular season championships before in the old Big East. We used to send players regularly to the NFL.

Damn straight. Good things on the horizon. These guys in this forum say ha but the trend is definitely upward. The biggest question is what if this actually works out for UConn? How many are far behind?

There's a reason why so few schools are independent these days...it's because it sucks.

Independence will work for UConn if they go all-in on FB and become a major independent. I just question if they'll do it.

I must be delusional. I'm going to Philly for the last game Saturday. I've been 3 times and have never paid more than $6 for tickets. Always in the front row. I'm 2-0. Hopefully my winning streak continues.

No worries. Next year the talk in this forum will still be how this conference is right on the edge of being something. Something it'll never be. A power conference. Moo. 4>0 with no vacated appearances.
