Whoever is in charge over there is risking our program by encouraging Penny to play him with this bogus Restraining order that won't make a difference with the NCAA.

We are facing "likely" major Level 1 infractions now. And we are now Appealing? How dumb are we?

We are screwed now. How can we recruit with this now facing post season bans, reduction of scholarships, probation, etc.

What needs to happen now. Drop the appeal. The AD needs to make sure to Sit Wiseman for 20 games. Suspend Penny for 5 games.

Then maybe we can get a favorable ruling and we won't kill our recruiting for the future.

appeal will be filed on SATurday.

Wtf... why would they randomly sit him 20 games? Why not just the whole season at that point.

Ohio State never appealed. The NCAA gave them 2 games. They would have appealed if they gave him more games.

Our recruiting rivals (inaccurately): "if you sign with Penny, *you* will have to pay the NCAA!!" Smh... inaccurate on several counts, but you know they will argue it.

UofM was a DEFENDANT in the suit, not a PLAINTIFF. They did exactly what the court instructed them to do.
What could the repercussions have been if the UofM VIOLATED the TRO and held JW out from the start of the season?

The mistake was JW dropping the lawsuit that then allowed UofM to hold him out, and the NCAA get a double grip on the schools gonads.

This played out exactly as I figured it would.

I don't think so... He wasn't an employee and not really a booster in the sense that he was involved in recruiting for UM at the time the "violation" occurred.
