Exclamation 3-way tie
Am I misinterpreting this or would USM win the west in the following scenario:

USM 6-2 (losing to FAU)
LT 6-2 (losing to UAB)
UAB 6-2 (winning out)

Highest regular season winning percentage based on overall CUSA play. - still tied

If tied, head to head between tied teams - still tied

If still tied, highest winning percentage within division - still tied

If still tied, compare records against divisional opponents in descending order of finish - still tied

If still tied, compare records with common cross-divisional opponents
- this is seemingly where the tie is broken. Tech has no common cross-divisional opponents with USM or UAB. But USM and UAB will both have played WKU. In this scenario, USM would be 1.000 against common East opponents while Tech and UAB would be .000. Would USM win the tie at this point?

Sounds about right.

RE: 3-way tie
You interpreted the final tie break wrong. It’s straight up results against the other division in order of finish, so it would matter if Marshall or FAU is 1st. If Marshall is first, La Tech is 0-1 and eliminated, so USM wins the division head-to-head vs UAB. If FAU is 1st, then in your scenario USM is 0-1 against FAU and is eliminated, so UAB would win head-to-head with LaTech per your scenario.

I would rather drink battery acid than win that way. so would the other teams.

Look, this will never happen, anyway. someone(s) will dick the dog, and hand it to the other team.

what is this 0-1? You play 2 cross division games and the tie breaker is who beat the highest rated team in the east...

its not who loss to the 1st place team or the 2nd or the 3rd, etc

This is correct and where it's beneficial to play good teams from the other side rather than the not as good teams.
