CAA isn’t getting 5 this year unless a lot broke their way. 3 or 4 more likely. IF Maine wins @ UNH, Maine could very well get left out at 7-5, or TU or Albany if either lose next week.. My bet is on 4..

Me too. I see four getting in. JMU, 'nova, Towson for sure. Albany should make the cut. Maine is a long shot, but it could happen if they win next week.

Regardless we are probably going to see a CAA team in round 2. Would prefer for it to not be Villanova

Weber State is going to lose to Montana. Looks like the second seed will be an absolute lock as long as we win out.

(11-15-2019 06:55 PM)BDKJMU Wrote: At least 1/2 doz games with major playoff implications for both teams.
-Robert Morris (6-4/5-0) @ Central Connecticut State (9-1/5-0) (-16) (12 PM).
Don't laugh, this one is likely for the NEC AQ. And if CCSU loses, but beats Duquesne next week to finish 10-2, they could likely get an At large, which would mean 1 less at large elsewhere.
-Monmouth (8-2/4-0) (-7) @ Campbell (6-3/3-1) (1 PM, ESPN3).
Looks like the winner could be a 2nd Big South team along with KSU (8-2/4-1). If Cambell (@ CSU next week) loses, they'll have their 3rd lose in a row after a 6-1 start, and with a Div II win & weak schedule, will be out.
-Furman (7-3/6-1) (-1) @ Wofford (6-3/5-1) (1:30 PM, ESPN+.
If Furman wins (next week vs Div II Point), they'll be a seed at 8-1/7-1 vs I-AA. If Wofford loses they'll likely have a play in game The Citadel (6-4/4-2) next week.
-Northern Iowa (7-3/5-1) @ South Dakota State (7-3/4-2) (-6.5) (3 PM, ESPN3).
Winner will likely be the 3rd seeded MVFC team after NDSU & ILSU, loser no seed.
-Weber State (8-2/6-0) @ Montana (8-2/5-1) (-4.5) (3 PM).
If WSU (vs 3-7 Idaho St next week) wins, they should lock up a top 3 seed.
If Montana wins out (@ 7-3/4-2) Mt State next week) they could get a top 4 seed.
Loser should still be seeded provided they win their last game.
-McNeese (6-4/4-3) @ Nicholls (6-4/5-2) (4 PM, ESPN+).
Among 5 Southland teams still vying for likely 2-3 playoff spots out of the Southland. Loser is done.
https://www.5dimes.eu/odds/Football/College-Extra
CCSU 49, RMU 28
Monmouth 47, Campbell 10
Wofford 24, Furman 7
SDSU 38, UNI 7
Montana 35, Weber 16
Nichols 34, McNeese 20
Colgate 16, Lafayette 0, so Holy Cross is back in the driver’s seat for the Patriot AQ.

Even if the Tribe loses this game (up 46-42 at the 16:48 mark), they are going to crush the Dukes. Simply no comparison in the way the two teams play. W&M runs pick and rolls, cuts to the basket, boxes out etc. things JV teams can do. I hope I am wrong and JMU comes alive.

So you're saying they run some semblance of an offense. Our offense is the basketball version of "Go Long", like grade school kids on a playground.
And wasn't W&M supposed to be decimated by defections?

Honestly, the Tribe is much more athletic than I expected. They play some high/lo because they actually attack the low post and have some shooters. I hate wmgt (not as much as hyper hates RU), but I am impressed. I hope they hang on to get the W. (Up 62-57 at 7:44)

RE: Week 12 CAA & Other Games of Interest
Knight is an amazing absolute baller and I’m not sure how anyone in the conference will be able to shut him down. Besides his play it looked like the rest of W&M were scared to shoot. If knight can stay out of foul trouble in crucial games he’s going to be a problem.
