USF didn't have a real shot in the last minute, but that was maybe the stupidest way to end a game I've ever seen. Keep your time outs, throw a short pass and run out of bounds short of the down marker. Temple should've tried to score in the last seconds.

Best wishes to USF when you get your new coach.

They're meaningless anyway

I disagree that bowl games are meaningless. I do place winning a conference championship higher, but that is a super long shot this year (UCF would have to lose 2 more, Cincinnati would have to lose to us and one more and we’d have to win out)

However, Playing in a bowl game is huge for the players and fans. It’s an opportunity to sell the Temple brand (Temple Tuff, single digit jerseys, the strength of our D front 7) The team gets additional practices. It is a selling point to recruits. And given our history I still look forward to seeing us in bowl games. Plus more college football is good; I may be in the minority but I dig bowl season. As a college football fan I cannot understand people who complain about the number of bowl games.

Like I said, Temple wins big. I'm getting tired of all the winning.

Absolutely not meaningless. The most important aspect is the weeks of additional coaching and practice time the team gets. It's almost like a winter camp. Does anyone think Rutgers or UConn are OK with not going to a bowl game? Well, maybe Rutgers actually is OK with that.

I like it. And you’ve probably forgotten what the Temple/Cincinnati trophy looks like cause we’ve had it so long.

Last time we got it from you it had bedbugs.

Just put it in storage with the civil conflict trophy instead of giving it back this year.

Agree as well^^^. Yeah, let's just cut it back to 10 Bowl games and see how many of those the AAC would get...maybe one? Silly to complain when the players, coaches and die hard fans like them as a reward for playing well enough to make one.

Hey USF. Good game. Your O-line needs some work. Don't think Temple played all that well on offense. Good luck going forward.
