Hope to be there, but it's dependent on a couple of variables.

Can't wait!!! Remember that the women have the early game tonight so tip off is at 5. The WNIT banner will be dropped right before the game so if you can, get their early to help the team celebrate last year's success.

RE: WBB vs Longwood 11/6/2019
From the JMUSports preview of the game...

*Longwood went 3-27 overall last season, including 2-16 in the Big South. They were picked 10th in the Big South Preseason Poll.

YIKES! Dukes should win this one by 30+.

Also...

*All fans who purchased a ticket to the women's game will have access to the men's game -- fans are just asked to move to general admission after the women's game

In truth, the men's team might want all those women's season ticket holders to stay down in the reserved seats. Just sayin'. WBB season ticket holders tend to be a bit louder and into the games (just my opinion). Though, I realize some are the same (WBB & MBB season ticket holders) and the WBB team tends to give much more to "get into the game" about. Hopefully, today is the start of a superb year for both programs and a fitting farewell season to the dungeo...errrr, Convo.

Did we know that Jackie has an injury or did she go down in the 1st quarter? She’s on the bench with ice on her left shoulder and arm in a sling.

Well done ladies! 93-53
One thing that jumped out at me on the stat sheet. It shows Oppenheimer playing 8 minutes. And it also shows her launching 8 shots (making 2). That is an interesting ratio to say the least.

Jackie was in some sort of multi-player tangle over in front of the JMU bench in the 1Q. I couldn't see what happened because we were opposite the bench and only saw the back of it but did see her extricated and taken to the bench. When I watched her being tended to at first I thought she was being evaluated for concussion protocol but then the trainer was manipulating her right arm. Hopefully it's not serious!

I was worried too when Maddy went down with her ankle, but I guess she rolled it because she was back in the game after getting it taped up and was scrappy as ever. And what's the deal with Bellerand and Irvine? Why were they in civvies?

I saw a lot to be happy about tonight. Passing was crisp, and the new kids were pretty selfless. I'm impressed with both of the freshmen. Eleanor is a whole bunch faster than she was last year, and Jaylin Carodine is looking very good. The one thing that did not look good to me was Devon...she seemed to have gained weight over the summer and is slower. But I think we're off to a good start.

I saw the trainers wrapping an ice pack on Jackie's shoulder so I do not know what the issue is. Hope she is OK.

Wife and I both think that it will be fun to watch Kiki moving forward.

With the mens team winning it was a double Nuggie Night. has that ever happened before?

After the game it was in a sling, but she had a smile on her face hopefully indicating its not too bad. It looked like it may have popped out of the joint and after some maneuvering by the trainer it popped back in, ( a layman's observation of course).

Kiki could be my new favorite player to watch. I am very excited to see what she can do in her career. I think she can be a very special player for JMU.
So glad she plays for us.
