Urban Meyer? You mean Urban Liar? The man who wouldn't acknowledge his Toledo birth. No thank you.

I have a feeling he will be available...
I'm hearing "Over My Head" by Fleetwood Mac in the
background.
LOL! That's so true. It's been difficult being a Browns fan...hopefully the Rockets make the rest of this season easier to digest.

Meyer never finished higher than 3rd in the Mac East while at BG.

Which is why he ended up bouncing from one lousy job to another, never spending more than a few years at any one school.

Yet every major college opening this year will have him as their main target. He may be an a$$hole, cheater, liar etc. (7-0), but he turns programs around in a hurry ( bagman or not). Even holy Notre Dame would hire him in a heartbeat.

Since I'm not a BGSU, Utah, Florida or OSU fan, I will never acknowledge that he is a good coach. Anybody could coach the very talented teams he coached.

Honestly, I'd look at Marcus Freeman at my alma mater...he'd an absolute home run hire with his recruiting chops, state connections, and scheme/understanding of the game...he's also been a huge factor in the development of the culture within the program down at UC. Only issue is he'll probably be sticking with Fickell into the next gig if I had to guess.

Fickell is waiting for Day to take an NFL job.

Ehh, I hope you're right, but I doubt it. If Franklin or Dantonio aren't in their current roles in February, I'd be very surprised to see Luke Fickell on the sidelines in Nippert.

RE: Coaching change
I've said it in the past but still my #1 choice would be Jim Harding. Would solidify the offensive line, and having been assistant head coach the last few seasons, has experience above being just a coordinator. His last reported salary being about 500k makes him in reach. Has been out west for a while now though, so may not be interested in coming back home, and likely doesn't have recruiting contacts in the traditional UT areas. Also has been getting lots of calls from the NFL reportedly.
Tom Manning would also be a possibility. Also would solidify the O line, but no experience above being a coordinator. Also wonder about that strange single year in the NFL and back to ISU was about.
In the past people have mentioned Eberflus, and I was skeptical of him before, but he has done wonders with a no-name defense in Indy. Likely too expensive now though, as I am guessing he is going to be on NFL head coaching lists within a couple years.,

Take a look at their game against Eastern Carolina.
He WAS on my list until that. A Defensve coach, you bet. 535 passing yds given up to two Freshman WR and a Sophomore QB.

RE: Coaching change
I’d go after Jeff Hafley, co-DC & secondary coach at The OSU. He’s going to be a head coach somewhere sooner rather than later. Only problem is he’s already making $900k base for his current job. But UT is having a fundraiser soon, aren’t they? Hey it’s no less reasonable for us to pay $5 million to a head football coach than it would be to run out a mediocre existing coach with a solid off-the-field resume, right?
