UR is also beating SB 20-10 right now. 2nd quarter.
Everyone says we will win out but I think our next two opponents are still tougher than originally expected and among the best in the conference. URI is the only gimme game of our final three.
I am with you. Saturday forecast calls for cold weather, hope we have a decent crowd.
And Richmond dominated SBU
Two big home games coming up
I think yesterday's Richmond/SBU was more a matter of the ticks hitting on all cylinders and the stoners not able to get out of their own way.
Tyquell Fields threw for under 50% and was eventually benched for a guy even worse than him.
I watched part of the game and Mancuso is Mr. Everything for the ticks. He threw for 318 yards at 77% and led all rushers (both teams) with 88 yards. He threw for two touchdowns and rushed for two. He is going to see a much different level of defense when he plays us.
Most of the ticks' wins have been close. Elon blew them out. They lost to Fordham and Yale, for crying out loud. Yale isn't too bad, but still an Ivy League team that any decent CAA team should have destroyed. But, Fordham? The ticks would have practically had to lay down on the turf to lose to Fordham, which has been clobbered by some pretty sad teams.
As always, anything can happen. We can have a terrible game, get hosed by the zebras, and the ball can bounce funny. But, all of those things would have to happen, IMO, for us to lose. Then again, all of those things did happen at Stony Brook and we still won.
