Honest question:

What did they actually vote for? No spin. Common sense, layman's terms.

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/201...-clinton-/

"...The 232-196 vote even saw two Democrats side with the GOP against the effort, marking a stark break with 1998, the last time Congress pursued impeachment. In that instance 31 Democrats sided with all Republicans in a 257-176 vote launching an inquiry into President Clinton’s behavior.

The lack of bipartisan support could taint the inquiry this time around, and hinder any Democratic hopes of ousting President Trump in an eventual Senate trial.

Indeed, Republicans maintained remarkable unity in part because they believe the process Mrs. Pelosi is leading is unfair.

The resolution approved Thursday grants the intelligence committee the lead role, relegating the Judiciary Committee — which usually leads these sorts of proceedings — to a secondary spot...."

"...He said the inquiry officially launched Thursday, after a month of secret proceedings, will eventually allow for open hearings, and does give the minority access to subpoenas, as long as at least some in the Democratic majority agree...."

Republicans have to take a hard look at boycotting the secret hearings. Send at least someone to observe, but have the rest boycott at the door until the hearings are open.

Then they need to consider walkouts on the open hearings until they get subpoena power.

We have a bi-partisan vote against these hearings and a partisan vote for them.

To consolidate all of the anti-Trump investigations into the hands of the Intelligence Committee, chaired by Adam Schiff. Also, to give Schiff exceptionally broad discretion in deciding how to conduct the investigations.

It really is remarkable to see how completely the Judiciary Committee is now frozen out of this process. That is the Committee traditionally empowered to deal with matters like this, but apparently Pelosi and her inner circle do not have confidence that Nadler can handle it.

b/c he cannot...

I'll repeat his words... Nadler: "I support this resolution b/c we have no choice left."

that statement in itself tells anyone with a brain what the fk is going on....

Dems rammed Obamacare through in a very partisan manner. Didnt matter it was incredibly divisive for our country and ruined decaded worth of precedent. Why wouldn't they try to remove the elected President the same manner, no matter the national consequences

Basically in the area of impeachment yes. If Schift doesnt want a witness to be called, public disclosure, or the President's counsel to participate he can stop it from occurring

This is where it's going to get out of hands.. Ladies and gents I'm calling it.. Schiff is going to overstep, demand documents not important to the case, and this will end up in front of the SCOTUS
