Baby Grizzlies beat the Nets 134-133 with buzzer beater in OT.

Ja Morant with 30 points 9 assists I think.

Yup. Ball needs to touch his hands every trip down the court. His ability to penetrate and pass is amazing. Why is Jonas sitting 4th quarters? This team could be 3-0.

RE: Morant is the real deal
His block on Kyrie with the game on the line was unbelievable.

And even on Crowder's game winning 3 in OT he got the assist.

We finally have our first ever superstar.

He's on a minutes restriction

Why, to save him for when we’re good? Seems to me that we are good right now, when he’s on the floor.

Remember when Rose became "self aware" in the NCAA tournament ? Thought I saw a similar switch flip for Ja last night.

Ja gave us a glimpse last night of what he might be.

Nothing personal against JJJ, but all signs point to Trae Young being the more dynamic player. He's on pace to be a superstar.

I know what you might say: If the Grizz drafted Trae Young, they wouldn't have taken Ja. And I'd follow up: Why not? You take the best player available and then figure it out later. Can you imagine having Ja and Trae Young? Worked for OKC (at least for a few years) with Harden and Westrbook. And now they're running that combo back.

Lol...

It worked in OKC because they had Durant. It may work again now because they both are in their prime but not a first and second year player.

We are in better shape now with the current build of the roster than we would be with both of them.

It's injury related. I think it's crazy but I see what happened to Durant last year.

If we drafted Trae Young, the Grizzlies would have traded back and took RJ Barrett this year I would bet.

Remains to be seen. We'll have a better idea 5 years from now when we look at JJJ's career vs. Trae Young's career.

He's a big who played in the FIBA tournament, so I suspect he was both dingednup and drained, and recovering from both. As well as all that deep sea fishing or whatever he does when he went back to his home country, log chopping, whale wrestling, I dunno.

If we keep our top 6 pick, we can get the Harden to our KD (JJJ) and Westbrook (Ja). Someone like Edwards.

Sadly if either of them become superstars they wont sign a 3rd contract here.

Such is the life in a small market.

He's coming off a foot injury. He's a big guy and they don't want to put a ton of stress on his foot so early in the season.
