Week 8 CAA & Other Games of Interest
Richmond and Delaware is a game worth watching because it’s the Rocco Bowl III and it’s a contender or pretender separation game. Both teams really need the win to stay in the CAA race.

Villanova and stony brook is the same but at a higher level, VU must win to stay in second while SB needs to win or fall near the bottom of the conference after a promising start to the season. It’s also the battle of two teams that had JMU on the ropes.

RE: Week 8 CAA & Other Games of Interest
If you operate simply on the premises that a 4 loss CAA team is probably on the bubble and that a 5 loss team won't be in the playoffs, the Ticks' 2 bad OOC losses make today's game a must win. And of course their opponent, UD, will be in the "on life support" 4 loss position if they drop today's game. As impressed as we were with Stony Brook, they're a loss to Nova today from geting to 4 losses. So yes, lots of playoff implications from today's games.

For us, I'm OK with a nice boring win and moving on.

in the "other games of interest" category, many of you are going to be disappointed when SDSU gets trounced by NDSU. not going to be close. at least a 14 point margin, probably more than that.

I agree. Ndsu would have to play terribly and be -3 or -4 turnover margin for SDSU to have a chance. This is also ndsu’s last real test of the season.

If JMU and NDSU both win today, 1 and 2 are very likely locked up by both. UNH may be the only remaining challenge for JMU after Towson.

Looks like Richmond is beating up on Delaware in Newark. 21-7 RU in the 2nd.
Helps to further secure the CAA title for the Dukes but probably means fewer CAA teams in the playoffs.

It also waters down the smelly Bisons' win over the chickens.

Jackrabbits are punking the smelly Bisons right now. Two plays and the rabbits are on the NDSU 15.

Rabbit receiver drops a pass right in his hands for a first down. Rabbits lead the smelly Bisons 3-zip.

Rabbits stop the smelly Bisons on their first drive. They take it down to the Bison 35. SDSU QB is hurt. Another SDSU FG. 6-0, wabbits.

SDSU's QB getting hurt is the most significant development so far. Not good for the wabbits.

3 and out for the smelly Bisons. Rabbits on the move. Another dropped pass by a Jackrabbit receiver. Could have been a huge gain. First quarter ends with the Jacks leading 6-0 and they have the ball.
