Since I’ve started the game thread the last 3 weeks for the 1st 3 CAA games.. Don’t have time to do all the stats & analysis until Fri. Others can do that.

W&M is not as bad as their 2-4 record appears. They have 2 losses to FBS teams and will not be intimidated playing JMU’s FBS quality players.
They also have 2 weeks to prepare with their bye coming at a good time
It is the Tribe’s homecoming and they are still in the mix for a playoff spot. A loss this Saturday likely knocks them out so we should expect to see fake kicks/punts and 4th down attempts trying to pull the big upset.

If you haven’t seen them play, transfer QB Kilton Anderson will remind you a lot of the Nooch. He is a very capable runner and passer that had multiple FBS starts with Fresno State and Coastal Carolina. It will be interesting to see how he performs when W&M has no running game and he is forced into passing.

I wonder how the comparison looks with CAA games only. W&M’s 2 games against FBS May have skewed the numbers a bit. I watched their game against Villanova and they looked competent. Better than the last couple of years when they were a complete disaster at QB.

My JMU grad daughter is now a freshman law student @ W & M. My ugly green "W & M Dad" shirt will definitely clash w/other purple JMU gear I'll be wearing.

Tend to agree based on last year, but Hart makes an interesting point regarding the stats once you toss out their FBS games. Only lost by 7 to a good Villanova team, and by 8 to Albany. They seem improved over last year. It should be a solid win, but perhaps not a blowout.

Versus predicts 38-18, a 20 point spread. They had us as 12 point favorites over Nova, which ended up being pretty close.
