I know this subject has been beaten like a dead horse going round & round on a broken record player but I keep reading posts & it seems some Houston fans want La. Tech, some Memphis fans want to stand pat & some Marshall fans just don't want Miami(oh). Along w/1001 other opinions.
What do you guys (USM fans) think is the best situation for USM?
Personally I think it's adding Miami, Toledo & either a 3rd team of their choosing(to help close the deal) or UNT & moving to a 14 team league. It beefs up CUSA's football produce & gives USM more national games.

Personally, I'd love to add Toledo only and keep it at 12, but your idea would work too.

i like staying at 11.
why?
well in fb terms only, the northern teams are to far north, think cincy & army. unt, la tech, ul-l,mtsu and others like them , well they are too weak and like bower said before usf joined quality over quantity.

I want to move to 12, but only if it is a school that will improve the league, specifically a strong football program. If C-USA is ever going to have any hope of cracking the BCS, then we need another strong football school. Even though I don't like the idea of going back north, I guess out of the current options, I would have to say Toledo would be the best one. Although what about Troy State, aren't they an up and coming football team?

Troy St. is up & comming & UAB probably would not have a problem w/them in CUSA, Memphis would not mind cause Troy's basketball is also moving up. However they have signed a 5yr deal w/the Sunbelt & their commish has said that in no way would he let them leave.
(I will find it funny when Troy starts beating up on UNT for the Sunbelt title)

I mentioned it before....can't we just tell Rice and SMU they were in a dream and stand pat at 9.
8 conference Football games with 3 to 4 Rival games
16 conference B-ball playing home & home.
You can't build new rivals with 14 - 16 teams in the conference.
Rice may help baseball and grad rates...SMU ??????????????
Adding just to add is a good thing......Mike Slive & Martha Stewart. :bang:

I like the idea of adding either Toledo, Miami Ohio, Temple all threee or staying at eleven. Personally I'm against adding la tech. I don't think that program is worth a flip and la tech has way to many props/non qualifiers/partials.
I really liked the idea of adding SMU, Rice and Tulsa. I think SMU and Tulsa both have the opportunity to blossom in CUSA. Academics is where were headed, this only helps schools affiliated with CUSA. I think academics will come in to play soon for our conference with the recent changes regarding the NCAA.
Toledo and Miami joining CUSA would Kill the MAC, without la tech joining CUSA, that program will fall to either the sunbelt or die, either way their gone forever. Its best for CUSA to eliminate as much of our competition as possible, just in case the bigeast gets stupid in the future.
