I'm somewhat surprised that there's been none of those UC fans infected with Cincinnati self-loathe disease on here already proclaiming that we have no chance of making the tournament because we got a new coach and that he was from NKU.

So, what's the deal with NKU having such an awesome basketball arena?

I don't recall them having tremendous success, and I don't think T. Boone Pickins is an alum.

It was Slim Pickins… not T. Boone.

Not many other acceptable arenas around.

I think a couple of them switched over to the UCLA message boards and are now posting as BruinBlade, Bruin Bounce, etc.

I'm going with 3 in the beginning (Memphis, Cincy and Houston) but I believe South Florida has a chance too. Gregg Marshall and Danny Hurley could surprise. And SMU has the tourney, so who knows.

The early voting results suggest that Temple and USF may have the toughest "row to hoe" (original meaning: a "hoe" is a gardening tool) with respect to winning their way into the NCAA Tournament.

But, at this point, we haven't seen any of the teams in action, and there will probably be a couple of surprises in the AAC in the coming season.
