Good for Memphis and good for the conference. You have to figure ESPN thinks the story of Memphis, their number 1 recruiting class, and their five freshman starters, has national appeal. Understand they did this last year with Duke.

Memphis did have the #1 recruiting class, but ESPN didn't just find all this love for the AAC just because of that. ESPN is all about the money, and right now ESPN+ is where the biggest potential for new money is.

The AAC has the most eyeballs in some of the biggest markets in the country.

Memphis deserves the love but not behind a PAYWALL!
