If Dee will be gone for, say, 6 weeks, do you bring him back for a final few games, or take the redshirt and give him a chance to get a full season in at CB at full strength, helping the transition to Lupro and Lovely next season? That will help his pro career. Maybe that hinges on our conference standings?
I read on here minutes after it was announced he was injured, 'out for season.' I thought "how can they know that fast? If they're still reporting it like that a week from now, I'll believe it.' Lo and behold, 2 days later, 'could be back.'
If he's back Week 10 or so, play him no matter what. You play to win games now, no matter what the record is.
The TV game announcers said he was out for the season. Maybe they mis-spoke and meant out for rest of game because they did say that numerous times afterwards.

Can't wait to see him to come back as a redshirt senior and burn Syracuse Next year as well.
Hoping for a speedy recovery.

RE: Eskridge out for season...
The way he moved while leaving the field indicated it was either a dislocated shoulder/separation or collarbone. I am guessing that Lester was waiting to see if he was going to need surgery. Sometimes surgery will actually speed up recovery on a collarbone... broke both of mine and both didn't require surgery but both took an insane amount of time for recovery... you can't move your arm for months... and thus you atrophy muscle on one side of your upper body... Surgery usually holds everything together so you can at least begin motion sooner...
Either or... He will have the year to recover.... another year in the system and come out an even better DB next year!

Weird, I didn't even realize 12 is still possible.

I wouldn't be surprised whatsoever to see him recover and then transfer to Minnesota.

He'd be eligible as a grad transfer.

Actually CMU's best weapon last week might have been that Dan Enos is 'Canes OC .

RE: Eskridge out for season...
If Eskridge wants to continue working out as a DB and has the full commitment of this staff to get him ready at that position I don’t see him staying over somewhere else. Not to mention not many transfer teams would allow him to play both ways ...
