Ohio's QB was great all night. Solich's special teams were awesome the first half and just in general Ohio has a very good team(predicted to win the MAC). Tough, physical game. The Herd was very fortunate to win it, GG any Bobcat fans out there, GL and hope you win the MAC.

There were a few Ohio fans sitting behind us in the end zone who were so obnoxious. They sat there for one reason. When we scored and went ahead and then got the ball back and pounded it right down their throats, it was a truly joyous moment. I didnt even say anything. Just turned and smiled. Then to watch all six take the walk of shame was a true thing of beauty. Bye bye Boobcats!

Their QB had strep throat last week. Very healthy this week. He's good. Fast and shifty.

So Marshall has trouble with good QB's. That gives me some hope for our possible title game match-up (if Fine is healthy).

Didn’t have trouble with the QB, left At least 2 TD’s on the field (wr drops in end zone) and could have punched one in at the last 2 minutes but we bled the clock and kneed it.

Rivalry game, can’t cross examine anything comparative to CUSA play.

Fine is a great college QB, and if NT protects him, he'll light up anyone from what I've seen. The thing that is krytonite, and has been for decades to MU, is the dual threat QB who can throw. Marshall's defensive MO has and will continue to be to make the other team one dimensional, then rush/hit the QB. Size has nearly always been the problem w/ the herd. Speed-wise they normally match up pretty well w/ most teams.

The QB had a 90 yard touchdown run. Escaped multiple 3rd down sacks. Made great throws to get 1st downs, when needed. We most certainly had trouble with him. Just were able to overcome that.

Fine won't have big runs anymore. Years of taking beatings has limited his mobility to some degree. He can still scramble for a 1st down, and sling it around the field, but 60 yard TD runs just don't seem realistic anymore.

Just my opinion Joe, but I would be more concerned with UAB, USM, and LaTech before worrying about us in the CCG.

Just as we haven’t proven anything yet. Hell, Charlotte looks most impressive of all of us so far. I’m not putting us anywhere other than 2-1 right now.

I hope Ohio wins the MAC though!

I said several weeks ago that this game concerned me. First, Ohio is always fundamentally sound, second, any team with a good, smart, duel threat, senior QB is always dangerous. If Knox doesn't get hurt at the end of the first half, probably a little different game. He was over 130 yards in the first half. On the final drive we ate up the last almost 6 minutes running the exact same play every snap. Thought it was a great statement by out offensive line and good reads by the QB.

MUther, dead on balls accurate IMHO. That guy made me want to pull my hair out.

Lambert actually called a damned good game, but that dude was the x factor that worried me all week. We had him hemmed up and receivers covered and it was like he had nitrous hidden in his 5 hole and he was dipped in axle grease.

Bigger win for us than some realize imho.

A win is a win (congrats!), but I somehow did expect more from Marshall's defense.

We have some depth issues which are being magnified by injuries right now. Hopefully we can get some guys healthy on the bye week. They had great starting field position in the first half, but we held them to 150 yards, so not a bad half. We were a little spent in the 2nd half, but got stops when we needed them.

Their qb would be a starting candidate in any CUSA rpo team’s lineup this year, including us. He is the reason we struggled.

Very good points, Banker. I just hope we heal up without getting rusty and hope Obi comes back for Cincy. Something tells me that Doc is gonna hold him out for conference play. Eh, fair enough.
