QB was not the problem last night. He made some mistakes sure, and on 4th and 2 he should have ran as he would have had first down easily but he was not the problem. The main issue last night was secondary couldn't guard me at this point. They picked on one guy and he got torched by a tune of 222 yards for one guy.... Was his first game but still a JUCO. Secondary has to get better or we will not win a game but this thread if full of complete idiots. Will be funny when another CUSA teams loses to FCS team. Its not like its never happened, it will happen again and it will be one of you. Doubt I could lose so many brain cells reading this thread but I did....

However most normal fans know its one game! Reading posts we going to fire a guy after one game! The losing culture was here when our new coach took over...I thought maybe after last season ended our guys would know what winning was and be better....However it looks like to get rid of that losing culture may take longer than we thought. However I am not going to say one game is the season, I would hope our secondary will learn to guard someone, if not clean house and put in true freshmen like Taggart did with us a few seasons ago.......FOr all of you laughing, I am still waiting for a CUSA team to win back to back titles. WE could all talk about UAB struggles last night too but its gang up on WKU day....Cannot wait to see UAB win back to back this season! UAB was a 40 point favorite last night by the way, WKU was -8.5...

I'm not gonna kick any team while they're down, we've crapped the bed a few times in the past and seem to lose a game each year that leaves Herd fans saying WTF?
That said, our league deserves the label of worst in D1 football until we prove otherwise.

Its happened before and it will happen again, I don't know how any WKU or CUSA fans could be shocked...We were only a 8 point favorite last night, what more shocking from last night was UAB was a 40 pt favorite and won by 5....However the posts on here from 1 game is pretty entertaining/idiotic from several posters....If we ever beat anyone this season in CUSA some of the posters on here will be pretty humbled and I am sure you will not hear a peep from them after they lose.... you will also hear from me how in the world could you lose to a team who got beat by UCA at home. Central Arkansas would beat a lot of lower FBS teams right now and that's us currently and in past year top 25 FCS team is pretty damn good and I will make a prediction we will not be the only team who lost to a FCS team this season....We are a bottom half FBS team right now......

I was surprised our new HC kept most of the left over defensive staff from Sanford era.....I am not panicking after one game but that could be a mistake and may lead to some second guessing about not cleaning house completely from previous regime....Our secondary coach is also our DC and has to be feeling pretty embarrassed after that showing last night where UCA guy looked like Jerry Rice out there...

We fired a first year HC in 2012. We found the money when it counted. That's what he means. Granted, you don't fire a HC for one game. Can he turn this around?

I hate to say it, but meet the new coach same as the old coach... if new coach were a big step up this loss would never have happened.

It's tough to bash WKU, when they were one of the better teams in CUSA just a few years back. Yeah, last night sucked.

If your not in a P5 conference, it's really tough to maintain a consistent winning program as all your good coaches, AD, etc get purged by the big guys. With us G5's, it's the same old thing every few years. That is, if you are lucky enough to even be able to sniff success. It's the same thing for all our programs: Rebuild, get raided, rebuild, get raided, rebuild.....over and over.

Next year we lose Mason Fine and will almost surely take a step back. If NT is successful this year, we probably loose Littrell as well. Fortunately, we have a good AD that has the program headed in the right direction. But, he could get purged at some time as well and that would really suck.

I am not going to bash any program when they are down. because it almost surely will happen to all of use over the next 5 years.

WKU518, the UAB close victory over SWAC school is much worse.

UCA is much stronger FCS program than any SWAC school.

There are good FCS programs and UCA is one of them

WKU, with a bad secondary, now has to play a ticked-off FIU team whose strength is their QB, Morgan.

WKU fans should not apologize to a few unrealistic/crazy homers on here...Every team in CUSA is going to have a bad game and WKU is not going to be the only program to lose to an FCS this season....
