I'm sure she will land somewhere else. She can flat out score.

It's the B.J. McKie thing all over again. Some of our fans had him up there with Iverson; and some of our fans had Penn up there with Holdsclaw. Fact is, neither one of them was as good as we made them out to be in our pathetic quest for recognition. We are ridiculous in our adoration of our so-called "stars". :bang:

Do you remember Shannon Johnson?

She was an All-Star for the WNBA Orlando Miracle a while back, she played at USC and I think led the SEC in scoring her senior year.

Well, she was as good as people thought she was. But she is an exception with us. Our meager success in athletics causes us to generally inflate the quality of our better athletes.

Face it. If we had enjoyed a plethora of great athletes over the years, we would have been more successful in athletics than we have been.

She'll wind up in Europe for a couple of years, & then that'll probably be it. Penn did a lot for USC Woman's hoops, & is a major reason why our program has progressed over the last 2 seasons.

Ya'll have had your share of super-stars on the hardwood. Brantley Southers comes to my mind first in relation to womens hoops. And don't forget a string of great ones who played for McGuire.
