Yeah, he had a 69 yard run... But his final stat line was 66 yards on 4 attempts. Take away that long run and he'd be 14 attempts for -3!

yep...
the thing- since you're new over here- is that there's this running gag that I say something- and then the total opposite happened.. When I posted this was right before the 69 yard run. Think he had -8 yards rushing.

Ahh, I see! You must have added that in the edit.
Can you predict the LA Rams over the Browns for me on Sunday night?

I would like to see how the AB's sycophants spin the narrative at this point.

RE: 2019 NFL Thread
Man that Kyle Allen performance yesterday got people talking crazy about Cam Newton. Before that sack by Pittsburgh last year he was clicking really well with Norv's offensive plan.
However, I am not naive to the fact that he hasn't looked right at all this year. Either the shoulder is good or it isn't. Either his ankle/foot has healed properly or it hasn't. I think the Panthers aren't very forthcoming externally with what is really going on here. If he is truly in the situation of not healing from his injuries right then the Panthers have some very big decisions to make. Draft his replacement. Draft for OL support to keep him alive. Trade him..... trade others and start a rebuilding process.... Age and health for key offensive and defensive players at the end of this season will be keeping the front office busy.

Jackson may not be Brady or Manning but even in the loss he did some pretty amazing things. Dude's fun to watch and he's young. It's not crazy to think he could get a lot better.

2 of his TD drives were off of playground 1 in a 1000 type of plays though- that aren't sustainable. Even with those 2 plays- his QB rating was a very mediocre 70.6 on Sunday. His QBR from ESPN was 63.5. He's had exactly 2 games over 70 in the QBR- 1st 2 weeks this year. And that's a whole hell of a lot more about the defenses he was going up against than about him...
Feel like folks need to slow their roll with him.

RE: 2019 NFL Thread
NFL owners are again making a push to expand the regular season, this time by one game to 17.
One would think that even a union as ineffective as the NFLPA wouldn't agree to have its players play more games for the same amount of money, but who knows.
https://theathletic.com/1241926/2019/09/...me-season/
Quote:The NFL has dropped a proposal for an 18-game season and is now focused on expanding the regular season to 17 games, ownership sources said. Owners were briefed on the change at committee meetings in Houston this week. The current schedule is 16 games.
“Not enough owners support (for) 18 and players would not go for it either,” one of the sources said of why the change. The 17-game proposal will be paired with a reduction in the preseason by a game or two from the current four.

NFL Officiating is just putrid. If you aren't going to change that to pass interference, why in the hell do you have that rule in place? That's a textbook pass interference.

17 allows for London to get games for a full season without any team losing a home game. The players will probably buy off on it if the revenue split increases from 47% to 49%. The owners need an agreement with the NFLPA in place before they renegotiate with the networks.
