I think it may happen. If we surprise some people early it will happen. In GOL we trust

The only team we'll have a chance to "surprise" before the WVU game is Wisconsin. However, the WVU game will be George O'Leary's first-ever home game as UCF's coach. Also, WVU typically draws many of its own fans for road games.

I guess it COULD happen, but I doubt it. Look for us to break the Top Ten Attended Games though. :)

The atmosphere for that VaTech game was electric. Wouldn't it be fun when a crowd like that sees us WIN a big home game?

I've been going to UCF football home games for 19 years. For me, that "when" has been "never". I'm sick of losing all the big games. Let's all hope O'Leary delivers.

Exactly. UCF has yet to win a game of importance, especially at home.
Bama was nice, but c'mon....they sucked that year.
UCF needs a big win at home. That would put attendance through the roof, and do wonders for our program. It needs to start this year. We don't need ANYMORE "potential" or "moral victories".
I'm sick of them. They suck, and do nothing for a program. Only wins do.
LETS WIN.

If UCF plays a good game against Wisconsin, and I mean, being in the game well into the fourth quarter, then UCF will have a good turnout. No matter what, I don't see it breaking any records.

Who cares about playing a team good? We either win or lose.
Like I said, it's time for this team to start winning BIG games.

A close loss or a win against Wisconsin would certainly help attendance at the WVU game (although a win would do a lot more for attendance). WVU fans are known for traveling to road games in droves. Also, this will be George O'Leary's first home game. The game would have to top 50,000 to break the attendance mark, but I don't see that as being at all impossible.

WVU is certainly not the "name" VT was. I'm sating 40K tops for this game.

Only if O'Leary can really sell those corporate packages. With the increase in price of tickets and new seating arrangements, I doubt UCF cracks 40K. We've been here before, and grossly overestimated interest.
Maybe if UCF beats Wisconsin, and WVU travels a bunch of fans like VTech, then maybe 40K+. But not any more than the VT game.

I don't understand how WVU is any bigger of a name or opponent than Syracuse, which we barely had 23K there for.
Granted, it is our first home game, and O'Leary's first game....but I think some of these prediction about 45K-50K is absurd.
I'll be happy if we crack 30K. That would be a nice start.
Oh, and winning wouldn't hurt.
