Could see them beating SMU and Tulane but those are road games and I think both teams will be bowl teams, so I couldn't pick against them. I could see them beating Houston as well, since it's a home game and they always give Houston fits, but I'm going to have Houston as undefeated or close to it in that poll so couldn't pick them to win that either.
I could even see them beating Okie St, but I'm not sure how good they're going to be either and I didn't wanna be that guy who has them going 3-1 OOC then winless in conference, lol.
I think this will be my worst prediction in this series of polls...
And this is why UConn is giving up on football...
Lol. Gave you a chance to win 6 games this year, (forgot to mention Navy so I could see 7), just said I wasn't confident enough to pick you in more than 2. Sorry I hurt your feelings, but you don't seem that confident either

Tulsa ruled the West at a time when SMU, Tulane, and Memphis were all either uncommitted or just straight trash.
They can get back to around 8 wins again but they have to reinvent themselves.
This current staff is going to be gasping for divisional wins.

I would love if we could win 6. It depends on the QB and can we keep him healthy(along with the other studs on the team). I'll go with 6 because I'm a half-full class person.

I picked the same 6 wins Jesse did. I think the defense will be stout again although Whitfield at safety will be tough to replace. IF Smith is as advertised and they can cobble together a decent OL there’s a possibility of a couple of other upsets in there.

I think we start playing hardball with schools in the AAC....especially while we are in addition/subtraction mode.
Tulsa: If you fail to win five games, you're gone.
Tulane: If you fail to win four games, you're gone.
ECU: You're gone.

Something about glass houses...?
Cincinnati is the very definition of mediocre. The fact that a Scottie Montgomery-led team BLEW YOU OUT should tell you something. You now have a good coach. So do we.
4-8 in 2016
4-8 in 2017
11-2 in 2018
If you are able to climb out of the gutter, surely we can, too.

Three wins, Wyoming, San Jose, ECU. Outside chance they lose to ECU.
If only Tulsa and Toolame could follow UConn out the door.

Do not take it as an insult. Because of student body size and the lack of state funding you are at a significant disadvantage. In the MAC, CUSA or SB you would not suffer these and other problems. Tulsa could win the league title in any of those conferences most years. Some times it is necessary to be realistic in order to achieve the level of success you seek.

We were 2 bad ref jobs away from going to the AAC title in 2016. We've only been here 4 years. That's an awfully small sample size to use as proof to kick someone out of a conference. And besides that, we routinely competed for CUSA titles against a lot of the same teams we have year. We've just hit a lkttle rough patch. We'll be fine.

In the west division, the AAC has three respected institutions with Tulsa, Tulane, and SMU. They benefit the academic profile of the conference and have been football/basketball contenders in the recent past or are investing the money to get there.
Keep in mind that Tulsa was in the ncaa tourney in 2016, while Memphis' last tourney appearance was 2014. Tulsa also won a bowl game as recently as 2016.
Tulane is investing in both sports and went to a bowl game in 2018.

It's not size of school. We have to get players that can do school work and advance toward a degree. Since it is a private school we do not get much support from casual fan in Tulsa. I am not alumni but I did go to a small private school and had to work hard(on campus $0.50 per hour-yeah I'm old) to pay tuition and room and board. Go Cane.

You know this isn't high school right? That we have a billion plus endowment and have existed for 120+ years and played football at the highest level for nearly as long?
*sigh* bad trolling
