I saw a story in the world-wide Internet that the Stockstill Boys received another award! For the third time, Rick Stockstill's been named Coach of The Year by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association. Likewise, Li'l Stock's been named Player of the Year by TSWA. Irony is these same sportswriters publish almost nothing about MT athletics. So, while I'm delighted for Coach and Brent; when the stock is MT
we are a Loss Leader in the Media!

More a statement of the shape of college football in the state than anything positive about MT football or either of the Stockstills. I doubt that no more than two or three sports writers involved in that could name more than two or three players or assistant coaches from MT.

You are probably right about that. Two of those sportswriters are probably former MT beat writers at the DNJ. I'd guess Sparks who now covers Vandy and the Torres kid who is now covering the Titans, I believe.
