I could not find a thread about this, so I wanted to make certain everyone is aware of what is going on with Coach Robe. (at least the little I know)

It is my understanding that Tony suffered a heart attack earlier this week and underwent surgery. I also heard that he had to have additional surgery today. I am unaware of his current condition.

In case you are unaware, Tony has been the coach of the Ragin Cajuns for 25 years and has coached the Cajuns to many regionals, some super regionals, and 1 college world series.

More than this he is known as a coach who cares about his players and their success in life, not just baseball. He is a beloved figure in Lafayette and in the college baseball community at large.

Anyway, I would like ask that everyone to keep Tony in your thoughts and (if applicable) your prayers.

I was aware and have been wishing him and the Cajun family good wishes all along. He's one of those great coaches that comes along very rarely for kids.

Great coach and great man. Definitely keeping Coach Robincheaux on prayer list. Best to Coach and his family.

Robe is in very bad shape after a 2nd surgery. He is in critical condition and the family is asking for prayers.

I don't know anything about him but if he coached for 25 years at one school, he was something else.

Problem is neither heart disease (Coach Robe) or cancer (Momma Wendy) is just one disease or easily nailed down to one or two factors.

So far the best we have for treating is at times brutal. The chemo I was given has left me with neuropathy (tingling and numbness in fingers and toes), made my hearing worse, kept me so sick I was dropping 10 pounds a week and sent me to the hospital for IV's to try to prevent my kidneys from saying screw it, I quit.

Yet despite how awful it all was, my prognosis is significantly better than if I had been diagnosed 10 years ago.

When they find an alternative billion dollar industry that helps control the population. Looks like they are lining up opioid addiction to be next.

I saw a twitter post that he had a second surgery and was still in ICU. Any update?

I haven't been on the board for a few days and just saw this thread. Prayers for Coach Robicheaux and his wife also!
