RE: Democratic Debates: 1.1, 1.2
Didn't Bloomberg say AI and automation are going to displace 80 million people in the next 20-30 years?
And yet they want to invite the entire third world to America.
Man, we're screwed.

Tulsi seems nervous. She's tripped over her words a few times, and is hesitant to move off her bread & butter talking point about ending regime change wars. She's boxing herself into being a 1 issue candidate.

If they didn't have soccer on, the detainees would riot!

NBC just ruined the campaigns of at least 10 folks tonight. What a disaster - they should be barred from hosting any other debates.
10 candidates, 5 moderators, everyone talking at once. It's giving me a headache.

RE: Democratic Debates: 1.1, 1.2
Observations so far:
1. I hate to admit it, but Booker is doing a good job. Not in winning me over, but just in general.
2. Elizabeth Warren does good job in formulating her answers to try and win Democrat votes, but she comes off as too much of a "granny" and low energy.
3. Beto is in free-fall. You really think that Spanish crap will win anyone over? What an idiot.
4. Tulsi is the one Democrat I might could get behind, but she's got nothing other than "war bad, and did I mention I'm a vet". She's a lightweight, like a lot of good-looking women in politics are.
5. Inslee is just too goofy.

There is no meat behind Castro’s answers. Waste of time.
Booker is the best natural speaker of the bunch.

Did Elizabeth Warren just marry the moderator?
“I do.” Followed by awkward smile.

“If I’m elected President, the first thing I will do...”
Castro’s used a variation of this line on 3-4 topics.

Delaney is the only candidate with coherent answers and is it's clear that MSNBC and the dem party wants to shut him up

Lol, they give Tulsi her first question in an hour and it’s about opposing LGBT rights when she was 23 and grew up conservative. So relevant.

RE: Democratic Debates: 1.1, 1.2
If I were a democrat running this year, I would try to distinguish myself from the other 19 (23?) by taking some contrarian issue positions. Of course, I would personally take contrarian issue positions on almost any issue from almost all of them.
