People think often they are going to see a lot of their favorite rookie or new player in a pre season game.

A few series to one full quarter at best. That's how the NFL rolls in the preseason. You will have to watch most of the preseason games to get a good solid look.

Remember that CJ Anderson seemingly revived his career in the playoffs last year by filling in for Gurley.

He was at least 20lbs over weight.

Yep. Gurley’s knee will never be 100% again. He will end up being the change of pace back.

I Hope Henderson is able to take a page out of DeAngelo's playbook. If he can spend a career as a tandem back beginning in tandem with Gurley he can have a long and lucrative career.

Rams fan here...

Yeah, McVay didn’t play Gurley last preseason either, well, none of the starters really. Henderson will get a lot reps. A lot of us think there is definite concern about Gurley’s knee despite the outspoken confidence from team staff and front office. DH is the exact type of back that McVay wants in his offense. Will be watching all of preseason just because of DH.
