RE: Poll: Football Player Statues at JMU Bridgeforth?
I mentioned this a while back in another thread, but I think having placards along the APC is a great way to honor the greats that have worn the purple and gold. I'm not totally opposed to statues, but it would have to be reserved for a very special player/coach for both what they accomplished at the school and afterwards (in the case of players). Charles Haley is probably the only player we've had that falls into that category for consideration, but unfortunately there are other factors that probably makes it untenable.

That isn't to say Haley and Clark aren't JMU legends, but I think more needs to be done to be statue worthy. There's plenty of other ways to pay tribute to great players and that is already done in the main concourse. Whether that is done in the APC I have no idea.
James Madison is worthy of a statue.

Ashby, I believe there already is a statue build for Dr. Carrier outside of Carrier Library. It isn't a traditional statue, but it still is a statue. You were probably referring to statue for Carrier for football and in that case I would probably agree that he would be deserving of one. Kind of hard to argue making a statue of the guy that was responsible for the school having a football team in the first place.

Ironically I'm the only indecisive one. 03-lmfao

Are you sure about that (there being a Carrier statue)?

I now have a company of 4 more I dunnos.....
