Good, they deserve it. Eastern Michigan gets away with murder.

The real scandal is how all these other schools pay players and don't win nearly as much. They need to drop some of that money on talent evaluation.

At least we get bang for the buck...

On 30/30 on the smu scandal either Dickerson or James was saying. Other schools paid more than we did and didn’t win nearly as much. Probably a slam at A$M but he could have been talking tcu. Think it was James. Kind of thing he would say. Dickerson took a Camaro from A$M then switched to smu

How deeply is Saban involved in this? There seems nothing right when he losed to teams like Utah, one of the SBC La. twins and so forth, to go on and winning so many national championships.

In other news, water is wet and the sky is blue. Just out of curiousity, was the Crimson Tide payroll higher or lower than the AAF's Birmingham Iron?

I'd like to know that too. But that question has been asked too many times of every dominant Southern school.

Somehow the dominant Northern and Western schools still get hit hard though. Notre Dame, USC, Ohio State, and Penn State have all had major punishments recently. ND and OSU's crimes were minor compared to Florida State or UNC.

Notre Dame has never had a major punishment.

Alabama was slammed to the floor back in 2002. Miami has been gutted multiple times. Plenty of other SEC schools have had punishments comparable to what Ohio State received.

But yes, North Carolina and quite likely Florida State have gotten away with a lot.

An in depth examination of the statements coming out of the FBI probe connects the recruitment of Zion by Clemson to the fray as well, even though he went to Duke, and the go between was asked why it had not reached Clemson's football program and he said, "It has. But they keep everything tight over there." It will be interesting to see just where the FBI probe ends up. The article was on Saturday Down South if you want to read another take.
