RE: 2019 AAC FOOTBALL POWER RANKINGS
It's hard to rank the AAC West. I think that UH holds on and wins the division, but beyond that I have no confidence between 2-5.
You might get something where there are 3 or 4 teams that finish 6-6. I don't think you'll be able to split Navy/Tulane/SMU. Memphis is a nervous 2nd. Tulsa is likely last, but is always good for a shock or two along the road.
Intradivision parity might prevent the development of a NY6 team coming from the AAC West. SMU and Tulane used to be absolutely pants and could be trusted to stink up the joint. That's not the case anymore.

So of course I could be wrong...
but facing what turned out to be the worst Navy football team since Paul Johnson came in as head coach, both SMU and Tulane needed late (one in OT and one under two minutes) two point conversions to win at home.
As of today, I like Navy's chances to flip both of those to wins at NMCMS.

The funny thing is that your top 25 Navy teams won by 2 and 3 points respectively. The Fritz vs. Ken battles are fun in that you throw away the records before the kickoff.

UConn football's biggest issue is the same as Tulane basketball. It's hard to catch up when the competition is all making good moves.
The East is loaded: the Knights are well the Knights; Cincinnati had a great season and looks to do the same again; USF will improve; Temple has been a top East team. Add ECU when they get better over the next 2 years and the division will be very tough for UConn to compete in.
The knights are bipolar. People point to their success and ignore their massive embarrassment too. Winless is REALLY embarrassing. (and yes, I can hear the trolls coming)
USF had massive injuries last year that took a semi promising season and turned it into a mid level conference performance... with the new offense install, this is a whole new team. 2-3 year ago we were top 3-4 in the conference and I expect to be there again. Its that good of an offense.
Temple should be really solid again this year and lets not forget about Navy. Last year they were off but that was because they are young. Ken will get this team humming again.
Well see about ECU. They made a huge mistake in hiring their last coach but you have to respect that their fans haven't given up on them and still support. As long as they have that, they will come back.
Cinci I expect to be stronger this year, but USF will take them out again, cause thats what we do to the kitties. Memphis is the leader in the clubhouse to me. I think they really put together a hell of a season this year.
The one I am most interested in is Houston. How will they adapt to an entire change. This year I think we have the most competitive conference from top to bottom. We may just beat each other out of the playoff because I dont see one team that will just dominate.
Did I overhear you saying something about “a large orange soda?”
