Owls load bases with no outs in T7. Pitching change for Sam.

And 3 Ks later, Owls fail to score. Unbelievable.

Score remains 7-3 going to B7.

Things getting really interesting in Austin...Horns now within 1 with tying run on 2nd in the bottom of the 8th after a costly error by the Aggie 1B. Were down by 5

Greenwood is just not cutting it - walk, double, single to start the 7th and now Sam has the tying run at the plate.

Greenwood rights the ship and gets out of the inning with no further damage.

7-5 going to 8th.

Greenwood didn't get an out. Gayle threw 25 pitches but he survived. Owls have tacked on an insurance run in the 8th, and hopefully will score more. I hope we don't hesitate to use Jefferies. And as I'm typing this, we do get another (on a Dunlap double). So 9-5 Rice now.

Sorry. Missed that in the play-by-play. Old eyes, small phone, bad combination. Good for Garrett!

Probably a game saving outing by Gayle vs. a strong offense. Have yourself a night!

Nice win. Gayle did a solid job. Longest win streak since 2017.
