People in this thread are acting like tacko is breaon brady. Tacko averages 4.4 fouls per 40 minutes, he usually wouldn't even foul out if he played all 40 minutes in a game. there are far bigger keys to the game than tacko's foul trouble

easier said than done...we would have all done this if it was that easy, but most of the teams that beat ucf just relied on the 3 ball and short jumpers

This was exactly Temple’s strategy the last game of the season, Fall picked up his second foul early 2nd half and we exploited the lack of rim protection. Dare I say Dukes interior players are better than the Owls.

The problem with facing Tacko Fall is that if you haven't faced him before, it's hard to do it the first time. USF ran into a buzz saw in Orlando for that very reason. That's what makes UCF so difficult in the tournament-you'll only get one shot at Tacko Fall.

I suspect there will be a ton of fouls in this game. As long as UCF keeps those fouls from being on Tacko they should have the advantage.

Exactly, which is why as somebody else said it's good that the ref crews have one who has officiated a couple UCF games already. If that is the case they usually do a fair job of reffing him. Those who haven't will struggle just with the concept of how big he is.

I hope it is an experienced crew, this is the sort of match up I love the college game for. Duke is clearly better at most positions, but the ability to zone and for Takko to defend the lane and rebound from the zone means the athleticism of Duke will be negated at times. Duke's lack of outside shooting and streaky half court offense mean they are uniquely positioned to be frustrated by just a UCF type team. But there are no teams who posses a 8ft+ wingspan controlling the paint. Duke has struggles vs long zones and ball control, I doubt that magically changes. UCF needs to avoid turn overs, Duke needs to make outside shots. One is more likely than the other, both occurring will make a fun game.

Just my opinion but I would not be surprised to see Duke win big. But I'm rooting for UCF to shake things up.
