NCAA Tournament Thread
Watched a lot of games yesterday.

Just some random thoughts:
-Auburn vs. NM State - weird ending. NM State down by 2. Their guard drives into the lane for a layup instead he kicks it out to the 3 point line. He misses but is fouled. Misses the first, makes the second and misses the third. The rebound goes out of bounds off Auburn. NM State inbounds with 1 sec left and airballs a 3.
-Ja Morant of Murray State. If you haven't seen him he's probably played himself into the top 5 of the draft. 17 points, 16 assists and 11 rebounds in their win over Marquette. He could score more if he wanted to but seems to prefer to set guys up.

-Nevada was disappointing. Really good talent but didn't play well at all.
-Wofford might be a fun team to root for.
-Dedric with a double-double and KJ with 13 points in Kansas win.

Interesting to see Nevada with a former NBA coach running a similar offense as us with a lot of isos.

He's right handed but whipped a left hand pass past 2 defenders to his guy for an easy basket.

He’s not just top 5 pick but easily the second overall pick and if I dare say maybe the first overall pick depending on who gets the number one pick. Zion is great and will probably still go number one but what exactly is his great skill set beyond his athleticism as far as translating to the NBA? Morant already has clearly defined skills and all he need is to work on his outside shooting

Call me crazy but I don't think Zion will be as good in the NBA as others seem to think. In a way I am glad we are going for the convey. Our luck we finally get the 1 and get Zion and 2 years from now we are kicking ourselves.

I don't think there is any chance Zion won't be a good player in the NBA. Whether he turns out to be great is another story.

Would take some ballz to pick Morant over Zion, but I'd seriously consider it.

Okay, you are crazy.

I didn't realize at one time Zion and Ja were on the same AAU team

Zion is going to be great. As is Ja.

Yale should have beaten LSU - their 3pt shooting mirrored that of rockets in game 7 last year

Nevada was a let down

Think today is a wilder day for upsets

Ja was a lot of fun to watch. Couldn’t keep my eyes off him and he met or exceeded the hype.
Loved his two handed dunk over the big man which is what he’s been known for but the passing was spectacular.

If the Grizz were to somehow get the number 2 pick I would hope they take Morant and trade Conley for future draft picks or players we can write off in a few years and build up the team around Jared and Ja. But first you would have to get rid of Chris Wallace to do that

Ja is incredible. I've seen the highlights all year but yesterday was the first time I've watched a Murray State game.

In AAC news, Cincinnati is taking it to Iowa in the early game today. I am no Bearcats fan, but I am rooting for the conference today and I hope Cincy destroys Iowa.

Ja reminds me a little of Penny with his knack for great passes and making his teammates better

I was also thinking Ja was Pennyesque with his passing. Seeing things before they develop, and executing passes most would turnover are similar qualities....
He also reminds me of Dwayne Wade with his bulldog and high hops.

It’s so hard to root for Cincy vs Iowa but we need the American teams to represent, especially after poor showing last year

Cindy called for fouls they would have gotten away with in the AAC.

Not surprising I actually picked Iowa in my bracket.. Sorry but the AAC is just not that good.. Whoever wins the Iowa Cinci game will get thumped in the next game..
