Just looked up Iowa, they've lost 5 of last 6 including Rutgers and Nebraska. Looks like pretty good first game draw.

Just bought friday session 1-2 for $64 each. No need to wait.

We were only the third #7 seed.

Selection Committee probably had UC slotted as a 7 and couldn't change that without wreaking havoc on the whole board so late today but with the Tourney win gifted UC Columbus.

Ouch. Playing the top 10 seed and if we win we play the top 2 seed.

Blue bloods and Cinderellas advancing sell tickets. UC is neither.

And by tickets I mean TV ratings.

We should not be overly concerned about an 11 loss team who has gotten blown out several times. It's Iowa, so I'm sure they will have several white guys who can shoot-not an awful matchup. Obviously UTenn is a tough draw, but hey, it's hard to complain about playing in Columbus. I have to think Iowa wont bring many fans.

Thoughts:
Respect to mid majors
Still didn't like how they continue to match up mid-majors
Houston got screwed being in UK's bracket.
Tennessee/UK should've been a 1
First 4 out really have no argument
7 is right for us. Playing UT in 2nd round is not good.
Just saw Izzo said he was upset at 2 seed. How so? They have some bad losses.

Before I start studying the brackets, I like to think back to something I heard Hugs say in an interview maybe 20 years ago.

"Its not just who is the better team in tournament play. Matchups with the other team are very, very important."

(Or similar words to that effect.}

Dont kill me if Im wrong, but since two west coast teams are playing each other in Columbus, my guess is that they will be the last game on Friday. That puts UNC at 7pm.
And UC will play in the first session.

Stopped over at Vol Nation and they are not happy. Thought we were a 4-5 and really worried about our 2 point defense and rebounding, which apparently is their kryptonite and really pissed that we are playing a home game.

It's only a 5 hour drive from Knoxville. They travel well. They'll be fine.

And honestly, while we defend well, we cannot keep up with them offensively. It'll be a tough matchup on our end.
