Some of the talking head had Temple on the lower seeds and maybe the last four in line.

So does their loss today help the Tigers in any way if we make the finals and end up losing a close game.

Or does it drop the American to three teams and open the door for sub 20 win P5 conference teams

More than likely it drops the league to a 3 bid league. There is no way we get an at large bid.

As an honest question, can anybody ever remember the selection committee doing us a favor? In my entire life we've either been seeded correctly as a 1 seed because they had no choice (but f**ked on location every time), underseeded, or left out when we should be in.

I would never expect help from the committee when we're borderline as we are.

Memphis is already higher than temple in the net, kenpom, and rpi. Beat Houston and we will be significantly higher to a point it will be a topic of conversation. We are getting mentions in the bubble after the ucf win. Sports illustrated has us squarely on the bubble , dratings has us as 5th team out before the Houston game

I agree unless WSU makes the finals. If we lost the in the final to them, it would push us out.

This is what I think. Beat two highly-ranked Net teams and it puts us at least in the conversation with the committee. It probably doesn't put us in but it certainly makes it interesting.

I think a win today gets us. Of course a win today and tomorrow and the conversation is moot...

Memphis is Now 46 in the net rankings.

And temple is 54. If the committee is putting so much weight on their new metric, hard to leave Memphis out in the semi final ranked 8 spots higher than temple who lost to Wichita state in the quarters. A team Memphis beat twice.

How many Nike schools are there on the committee?

If we beat Houston we will be in the high 30’s of the net. We will be in the first 4. Temple will be at home baking fran’s Retirement cake. Win tommorow and we will be an 11 seed

The committee is biased--In favor of ACC , SEC, Big East, Big 12-2 and probably even the pitiful PAC

I think we have to win the autobid. They leave deserving schools out all the time.

Back when you were allowed to play games at your home court if it was one of the sites, we played some games in the Mid South Colisuem. In 84 we played the first 2 rounds at home as the 6 seed.

Anyway, I just hope we play our way in. Would be a spectacular first season for Penny.
