I have really liked seeing the team in the Memphis State throwbacks. I think that it would be a good idea to use the same jersey and replace State with Tigers at the bottom. Same lettering and everything.

Dont even know why I opened this thread, I really thought it would have a lame idea, I was wrong.... great idea. Players and Fans love em, good branding too.

I think if you were going to eliminate the ‘Memphis State’ aspect, that you would simply adopt the ‘96 uniforms that are essentially the same, but incorporate the name change.

That said, I do like the current gray and black uniforms that say ‘Tigers’ across the jerseys.

I don’t like the way that Nike refuses to put our logo on both sides of our pants. We have a great logo, it deserves more prominence.

How about changing the name back to MEMPHIS STATE---and actually use BLUE/GRAY !

I went to Disneyworld last week and wore my Memphis Black hoodie with TIGERS across the front and the small leaping tiger emblem that clearly says Memphis in small letters. A man asked me if it was a Michigan shirt. ??? I also wear a Titleist golf hat with the leaping tiger emblem on the side of it and I have had numerous people ask me if I am from Michigan. ???? Of course I live in Florida where there are a lot of people from the Northern states.

I was walking in New Orleans two weeks ago in my Tiger hoodie, and a guy there said "Go Memphis!"

I was in Kentucky when Wiseman committed. Drove back right after he committed. Got gas and my car wouldn't start. I was wearing a gray and blue Tiger shirt and a Tiger cap. Well I had to ask a stranger for a jump. He got me started. I told him thanks and he said "Anything for a fellow wildcat". I didn't correct him
