We still have a very credible coach who's players graduate with high MAC Honors and probably some where in the neighborhood of 25 wins. Suppose he leaves after that? Who we going to hire? We would get some cast off from a bigger school more than likely or a former big name coach that had some success 20 years ago.
I don't know if you were around the last time we made it to the tourney. but the excitement and energy it creates is something that has to be experienced. One-and-done probably wouldn't do that much but a couple of appearances or a sweet sixteen run has an impact for years. at any rate, it starts with an appearance.

Once he gets to the big dance, I think some of the alumni will feel different about him. The Rockets are always playing 2nd fiddle.

Your boy Billy Donlon is getting another shot at a head coaching gig with UMKC. It was only a matter of time before he got hired somewhere with his accomplishments at the low major level.

Like his dad, Patrick Beilein was successful as the head coach at D2 LeMoyne in Syracuse. Like his dad, Patrick Beilein is breaking into the D1 ranks in the "Big 4" Western NY rivalry group. Niagara is a tough job and we'll see how he does.

Rick Byrd has retired after a very successful career at Belmont. If they don't promote from within, the new coach will inherit a stocked cupboard and nice facilities compared to peer programs.

After working as a pro coach, it looks like Jerry Stackhouse will move into the college ranks and be named the new head coach at Vanderbilt. It's an interesting hire.

I didn't know that Fred Hoiberg is a grandson of Jerry Bush

"the long-rumored marriage became official Saturday. Hoiberg, whose grandfather, Jerry Bush, coached Nebraska in the 1950s and 60s, agreed to a seven-year, $25 million deal."

I have my master's in sport management. That Harvard program isn't a 'real' program. Even if it is Harvard.

But it's the HBSEE-EPSB/M! It has to be legit.

With all these ivy's running the show, no wonder we're all buried in paperwork.
