One thing is for a countries like USA? You have big corporations that get Corporate welfare. The Republicans are fine giving handouts to them, but they want to cut the social programs that helps millions of people who are struggling to make ends meet. People are losing jobs to illegals and to robots. The Republicans need to crack down on the corruption of major businesses and all that. People like Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and others would like to break up Bank of America, Amazon, Pepsi Corp. and many large businesses. I would love to see Clear Channel Communication be broken up to be locally own radio stations. Same with these large tv conglomerates like Gannet and Sinclear. Break up ABC/Disney/ESPN. Break up Viacom/CBS. Break up Comcast/NBC/Universal. Break up Google/Youtube. Break up many other things. Get Hostess sold to buyers who would buy the generic Dolly Madison snack cakes.

Here is the problem. We are already tougher tax-wise on corporations and the "rich" than most other developed countries. At the same time, most of them provide a better welfare safety net than we do. How do they do it? They have lower and flatter (less "progressive") income tax structures, applied over a broader definition of taxable income (virtually no exclusions and deductions), plus a "regressive" national consumption tax.

I would go for that approach, flatter and broader taxes to support a more comprehensive welfare safety net. Would you?

I do wish literally any candidate would put certain companies feet to the fire... set some examples so large companies think twice about what they're doing

Equifax's negligence should've ended up with multiple high up executives in jail considering the sheer amount of damage they did to the American public, but instead they got this piddly fine and then profited off screwing us over. Nearly every working American (140 million +) in 2017 had their SSN stolen and nothing happened to their company. They should've been dissolved

Be a small time drug dealer and you're going to prison, but when you put every American citizens credit in extreme jeapordy because you're just lazy nothing happens to you

Wells Fargo continues to do incredibly shady things year in and year out and end up with next to no punishment for their crimes other than settling for lowered fines.
